Here is the food program!

With less than a month to go until this year’s festival, the full food program for Way Out West 2024 has now been released. This year’s Local Chef’s Corner will feature a cozy new area where local restaurateurs will be serving one plant based signature dish each.

Gujju: Slang for people originating from the Indian state of Gujarat, this name has been given to Varsha and Nikhil Mistry’s popular restaurant in Borås. Using Swedish ingredients, they craft marvelous Indian food designed for sharing.

 

Benne Pastabar: Devoted to true culinary art and pasta made from scratch, chef Emanoel Rizk found a rundown warehouse on Skanstorget, transforming it into Gothenburg’s most delightful pasta place after years at various Michelin-starred restaurants.

 

Hermanos Tacokiosk: A small but beloved institution on Mariaplan in Majorna. For this year’s festival, they bring their unique take on tacos and street food, along with their signature corn tortillas to Slottsskogen.

 

Gaffelkonst: Run by chef Ulrika Forssell for over 20 years, focusing mainly on catering and events. For the past five years, she has also been running the lunch restaurant By Gaffelkonst in the green office building Park49 next to the Garden Society of Gothenburg, where sustainability is a key focus in the kitchen.

 

Waffles & Shakes: Usually located in Nordstan, they spoil passersby with waffles in all forms and to-die-for milkshakes. During Way Out West, they will appear in the Local Chef’s Corner, the perfect spot for a long brunch.
