When and where is Way Out West 2025?
Way Out West will take place in Slottsskogen and around central Gothenburg between August 7-9 2025. The main site is located at Slottsskogen. The easiest way to find the entrance is to aim for Linnéplatsen – either by foot, bike or tram.
When do tickets go on sale?
A limited number of Early Bird tickets will be released on Monday, November 25, at 9:00. Previously, we’ve sold a record number of Blind Bird tickets, so quantities are even more limited than last year. Be quick and save up!
How do I buy a VIP ticket?
In the first ticket release, you will only be able to buy Standard, Youth and Premium tickets to the festival. VIP tickets will be released later on.
Will you sell tickets for one day only?
Yes, later on.
How do I know which act is playing what day?
All show days will be announced closer to the festival.
What are the age limits at Way Out West?
The age limit at Way Out West is 13+ for Youth tickets, and 18+ for Standard tickets.
Government guidelines for sound levels in Sweden recommend that persons under 13 years of age should not be exposed to the high sound pressure levels that can be experienced at festivals and concerts. You must be over 13 years of age to attend Way Out West (this includes toddlers with hearing protection too). To enter the bar areas where alcohol is served, and all of the Stay Out West venues + Stage Dungen you must be over 18 years of age (it is a good idea to bring photo-ID if you are under 30).
Is there a camping site?
Way Out West does not provide an area for camping and camping is strictly forbidden in Slottsskogen. If you’re in need of living arrangements during the festival please refer to Gothenburg’s existing selection of hotels, hostels and campsites.
Where should I stay?
There’s a rich variety of hotels, hostels and Airbnb’s in Gothenburg to choose from. We recommend you to book your room as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. If you want to see how far from Slottsskogen your potential accommodation is, type Linnéplatsen on Google Maps and you’ll see the distance. If you find the walk too long there’s always transit lines – trams or buses – with routes passing there.
What is Stay Out West?
Stay Out West is Way Out Wests club program (age limit 18+) that opens up in different areas/clubs around Gothenburg when the festival area in Slottsskogen closes. If you are over 18, these gigs are included in the festival pass. You can not buy a single ticket for Stay Out West only. Stay Out West clubs have a limited capacity so please be there in time if there’s a specific act you want to see. In our app we continuously update if the clubs are full or not.
How do I know if the artist is playing at Stay Out West or in Slottsskogen?
When we announce the acts, we always mention if it’s for the program in Slottsskogen or the Stay Out West program. It’s also listed under each artist here. On our posters, the acts playing in Slottsskogen are listed in a bold font and Stay Out West acts in a thin font.
What are the opening hours to the festival?
Thursday Aug 7: 14.00 – 00.00
Friday Aug 8: 12.00 – 01.00
Saturday Aug 9: 12.00 – 01.00
The Stay Out West clubs usually open around 22.00 and close around 03.00-04.00.
