Desirée Wenström Jaks won the culinary Olympics with the Stockholm team at 21, became Sweden’s Chef of the Year on her first attempt in 2023 and was the head chef at Michelin restaurant Agrikultur for several years. Desirée is now opening her own pop-up restaurant at Way Out West 2024. From August 8-10, you with a festival ticket will have the exclusive chance to book a table at Jaks, featuring mostly Swedish ingredients and flavors inspired by the Polish countryside.

This year, the Olympic winner and Michelin star chef Desirée Wenström Jaks is bringing her sustainable and seasonal food philosophy to the festival. During Way Out West, she will debut a venue under her own name. At the pop-up restaurant Jaks, you will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive vegetarian five-course meal, with a focus on sustainability and seasonal ingredients. In the heart of the bustling festival grounds, Desirée Wenström Jaks will transport her guests to the flavors of her childhood. The menu is crafted to honor farmers and producers and they’re incredible products. There will be vegetables in season, mushrooms, pickled goods, cheese, fermented items and things from the grill. Nature sets the pace, but nothing is left to chance.

Book your table here. Limited seating available, first come, first served! Please note that you only can access the restaurant if you have festival ticket.
