“She’s going to be one of the greatest,” said the legendary radio journalist Zane Lowe when he premiered the Swedish pop sensation Virgin Miri. The New York-based artist from Skåne is the perfect paradox. One day she releases a song with Young Thug, and the next day she directs her own music video with award-winning filmmaker Andreas Öhman. The artist, who also produces her own music, has recently found a co-producer and collaborator in Grammy-winner T-Minus, known for hit songs for Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Travis Scott. The Swedish newcomer from Borrby has quickly gained attention from The FADER, Vogue Scandinavia, graced the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Pop, and stood out at the Nordic International Film Festival in New York.
