The Dare
Friday Aug 8
“What’s wrong with New York?”. That’s the question The Dare tries to answer on his wildly hyped new album with the same title. The answer? Not enough rock’n’roll, sex and decadence. On his debut album Harrison Patrick Smith aims to bring fun back with the help of indie sleaze and electroclash and the result is irresistibly refreshing. Inspired by classic New York acts such as LCD Soundsystem, The Dare has created a vibrant manifesto for hedonism. A feat that also led to Charli XCX, who fell in love with the stand-out hit ‘Girls’, decided to collaborate with The Dare on her song ‘The Guess’. Get ready to party like it’s 2005 because The Dare is coming to Stay Out West!
