Ever since the prestigious label Ninja Tune released Bicep’s self-titled debut album in 2017, the electronic duo from Belfast has remained one of dance music’s most consistent and critically acclaimed acts. Recently, the two childhood friends Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar, unveiled their new project CHROMA. An ambitious concept best described as a combination of a record label, a series of curated events, a constantly evolving audiovisual/DJ show and a unique visual identity created in collaboration with David Rudnick. The imprint has already shared seven singles named ‘CHROMA 001’ to ‘CHROMA 007’. And while the music is still undeniably danceable the array of inspirations is wider, the music is more club-focused and a perhaps a bit darker.
